Conferencia de prensa del Subcomandante Marcos , editada
- Description:
He mentions that EZLN is proposing a process of peaceful resistance that will help solve the demands that the government cannot fulfill. This movement would be the Frente Zapatista de Liberación Nacional (Zapatista National Liberation Front), which does not seek to obtain power, but rather that the powerful respect the law. Such is the case of former President Carlos Salinas de Gortari, who is accused of having committed crimes and being covered up by President Ernesto Zedillo. He then reads a statement in which he thanks EZLN's advisors for their contributions. There are a series of questions from the journalists. Subcomandante Marcos answers what could be the failure of the FZLN and the topics to be discussed at the dialogue tables in San Andrés. He affirms that EZLN will win, whether by peaceful or armed means, and proposes a democracy that goes beyond elections. Finally, he proposes the disappearance of the State party system and request that participation of social movements is taking into account in the new electoral reform.
