SPANISH: María Ayca Llanque habla con Juan de Dios Yapita y Denise Y. Arnold sobre tres temas: 1. Que los padrinos son considerados padres espirituales, en que la madrina (sutis malasa) y el padrino (sutis talasa) son los parientes del espíritu y los padres son solo de cuerpo (janchi). Durante el rito del matrimonio la pareja (paris paluma) recibe la bendición del cura (tata kura) quien los une en una sola persona. Los padrinos son quienes amonestan cuando hay faltas (jucha) y les aconsejan (amuyasiña). 2. Que al momento de hacer ofrendas (liwaña) a los cerros de Phiri Phiri o Turu no se echa sal (jayu), y durante esos días se come sin sal. En cambio, al ingresar a la iglesia, todo tiene sal, y se come con sal, porque es una forma de ahuyentar a los espíritus malos (saxra). Por eso se dice que se tiene dos corazones, uno que come sal y el otro no. El consumir sal implica tener fuerza (ch’ama laqa). Explica que hay tres tipos de sal: el granizado (chhijchhi) que se usa en los alimentos, la sal de Salina (Salin jayu) que es para las llamas y la sal blanca (janq’u jayu) que es para las ovejas. 3. SPANISH: Juana Colque Ayca es entrevistada por Juan de Dios Yapita y Denise Y. Arnold sobre los colores (sama), sus usos y significados. El negro (ch’iyära) se usa en la vestimenta de luto, incluso la manta femenina (awayu) debe ser negro. pero en relación con la producción, la tierra negra es donde se da mejor la papa imilla negra. Menciona algunas piedras negras (wirinjila) que no se deben manejar, pero son consideradas medicinales. SPANISH: Juan de Dios Yapita y Denise Y. Arnold realizan un registro grabado de la fiesta de Concepción en Qaqachaka. Ellos describen 1. La misa que se celebra en Qaqachaka en honor a la Virgen Pachamama, por las almas, etc. Mencionan lo que hacen los feligreses durante la misa. 2. El 16 de diciembre graban la música que tocan en la plaza principal de Qaqachaka. 3. El 17 de diciembre, nuevamente atienden la celebración de la misa en la iglesia. 4. El 18 de diciembre Crisóstomo Sanga, un comunario del ayllu Kinsa Cruz, de la estancia de Cóndor Pujyu, les agradece por el obsequio de la pelota. 5. Arnold y describe cómo los cerros alrededor de Qaqachaka son llamados tutelares o guardianes (uywiris) y son los encargados de proteger la siembra. Por eso se debe realizar libaciones para ellos. Comenta que el cerro Turu es el esposo del cerro Jujchu, y que ellos tienen su hija llamada Wasilia y su hijo denominado Pinkilliru. Menciona que cada estancia tiene su cerro tutelar o protector a quienes se les debe dar también ofrendas (liwaña), sobre todo en carnavales. Entre los cerros altos del lugar están Phiri Phiri, Pukara, Precipicio Negro (Ch'iyär Jaqhi), Cabeza de Loma Pelada (P’iqi Q’ara Luma) y Jujchu, llamado también Niña María.<br>ENGLISH: Juana Colque Ayca is interviewed by Juan de Dios Yapita and Denise Y. Arnold about how the mountains around Qaqachaka are called guardians (uywiris) and are in charge of protecting the crops. That is why libations must be made for them. SPANISH: Domingo Jiménez Aruquipa habla con Juan de Dios Yapita y Denise Y. Arnold de los siguientes temas: 1. El primer alimento que dan a los bebés. 2. Enseñar a los bebés a comer (manq'añ yatichaña). 3. Dar de comer a los niños papa (ch'uqi) y oca (apilla) para que se convierta en un buen cultivador (suma yapuchiri). 4. Las primeras palabras del niño y la mejora en la vocalización (parl phuqhi). Enseñar a conocer a los miembros de la familia y el saludo, por ejemplo, al abuelo saludará achilay. 5. La recomendación de respetar a la gente en los saludos (suma rispitun aruntasiña). 6. Las veces que se encontró con el expresidente Juan José Torres, y sus ideales; valoraba a los campesinos (kampisinut jiwatänwa) y era muy querido. Hablaba quechua, aymara y castellano; hablaba el aymara de Qara muqu y quechua de Charazani. Nombraba a los Estados como comunidades grandes (jach'a kumunirara). Cuenta de la vez que lo ayudó a escapar en Clisa, prestándole su poncho (punch uskuntasin khayam iskapayapxta) y pintándole el rostro. Fue destituido por Hugo Banzer y escapó a la Argentina, donde fue asesinado. 2.
