Segunda conferencia de Andrés Segura Granados acerca de Cuitláhuac. Entrevista, tema mitos. Petición a los cuatro vientos
- Description:
He expresses his opinion about the birth date of this pre-Hispanic character, who proposes was born in the “océlotl” day around 1476 a.C. Granados explains the importance of knowing the birth date of Cuitláhuac, through it the mexicas believed that the faith of people could be understood. On the other hand, he refers to indigenous traditional medicine which used urine and human feces as healing treatments. Granados delves into stargazing and its relationship with pre-Hispanic cosmovision and questions the education that does not address the knowledge preserved about pre-Hispanic cultures. He reminisces the curricula that emerged after the Mexican Revolution, which he thinks lack the values achieved by the indigenous cultures. Granados shares a fragment of an audio in which some myths from Nicaragua and Mexico are mentioned, such as Adam-Eve and the Mercedes Virgin, The mirror of Tezcatlipoca and Cipaltona. To end, a ritual is made in which a permission to talk about the inherited knowledge from the indigenous pre-Hispanic cultures is requested, this ritual is accompanied with incense burners and associated verses to Yancuic Anahuac cuicatl o Canto nuevo de Anáhuac, mainly from the Sower, work from Antonio Xocoyotzin.
