- A mock-up advertisement with brochure for the City of Santa Monica. At right, a handwritten sign with two arrows points toward the brochure, here partially photographed. Text reads: "Help to Publicize Your own City! Step into the Publicity Dept. at the City Hall and Get one of these New 4-Page Folders On Santa Monica. No Extra Postage Required to include one in your out-of-Town Letters." The brochure includes an image of Santa Monica Beach with the Breakers Beach Club, Edgewater Beach Club, and Hotel Casa Del Mar, and an image of palm trees atop a Palisades cliff overlooking the bay. Brochure text reads: "Santa Monica, California. The City with a Standardized Climate. 64 [degrees] Average Year-round Temperature. Only 20 degrees difference between the High and Low Temperatures for the year..." A map showing points of interest between Downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica is partially captured at left.
