At center, the ruins of a stone-lined basement sinks into the ground. At the near corner, a brick chimney rises and extends out-of-frame. Debris from the Steeles' house lightly covers the ground surrounding the open basement. Several men clean-up and sift through debris along the perimeter of the far sides of the pit. One man stands in the basement along its far right side. He, and another man outside the basement, support some pipes. Beyond the pit, small structures stand along the far left and right edges. A grove or orchard stretches between them. Mountains rise in the far distance.
