Description:: In July 1935, Robert E. Thomas, an actor, claimed that he was the cast-off son of May Yohe and Putnam Bradley Strong, who was wealthy and socially prominent. Thomas had been adopted by E. R. Thomas, an apartment manager in Hollywood. In this letter, the writer, L. L. Levings, writing from Portland, Oregon, states that he has documenting that a wife of Strong had a child on September 1, 1908 and was divorced on April 25, 1910.

Description:: Typed letter from Asa Keyes to E. B. Getzoff of the American Novelty Furniture Company in Chicago, Illinois, dated December 19, 1927. Mr. Keyes requests to have a piece of furniture made. The letter was an exhibit in the trail of Asa Keyes who was charged with accepting a bribe from the Julian Petroleum Corporation. Description:: Letter written by Jaime Palmer, 6855 Bonita Terrace, Hollywood, CA on October 7, 1936. The recipient is unidentified. She expresses her appreciation for an invitation from Harry Kohr to assume the chairmanship for the women's luncheon committee of The Authors club. Palmer was involved with the Writers Club of Hollywood in the 1930s. Harry Kohr was an exchange editor, telegraph editor and literary editor with the Kansas City Star newspaper. He retired in 1932 and lived in Los Angeles after that, returning to editorial work during WWII.

Description:: A letter from John Anson Ford the the Editor of the Los Angeles Times, offering corrections regarding an article that appeared in the Times on September 9, 1936. Anson had just been elected chairman of the Democratic County Central Committee and writes that the article, in referring to him as an Epic candidate, was incorrect. He states that he was not endorsed by the Epics, and that he has no plans to run for mayor, concluding "there are people who assume public office, or other public position, for the purpose of sincerely rendering service, and without ulterior purposes.
