Amir.<br>ENGLISH: These documents are photocopies of correspondence between the Prime Minister of Zanzibar (Mohamed Shamte) and the Prime Minister of Kenya (Jomo Kenyatta) in 1963. The letters between Kenyatta and Shamte are about ensuring complete freedom of worship, in particular for the Sultan's Muslim subjects. It also contains an agreement between the government and sultanate of Zanzibar, the government of Kenya and the British colonial administration, with Zanzibar agreeing that the Kenyan coastal strip be ceded to Kenya without compensation when Kenya achieves independence on December 12th, 1963. These photocopies were provided to Ustadh Mau by Amir A. Amir.
