"روز جهانی جنبش" اولین برنامه بین المللی "اتحاد برای ایران" بود که در آن هزاران نفر در صدها شهر دنیا گردهم جمع شدند تا حمایت خود از مردم ایران را اعلام کنند. این افراد خواستار آزاد شدن زندانیان عقیدتی و اتمام خشونت های ضد مردمی دولت شدند. صدها نفر از شخصیت های سرشناس دنیا، اعم از فعالان حقوق بشر و هنرمندان از این برنامه حمایت کردند. صدها نفر در لس آنجلس به دانشگاه کالیفرنیا، لس آنجلس آمدند تا حمایت خود از ایرانیان را نشان دهند. از شخصیت های سرشناس که در این برنامه شرکت کردند می توان به ماز جبرانی و رضا اصلان اشاره کرد.

February 11th (22 Bahman) marks the overthrow of Pahlavi Dynasty and the start of the Islamic Republic of Iran. After the 2009 Presidential elections people continued to protest against the results at different dates, including 22 Bahman. People around the world showed their support for Iranian protestors by forming gatherings around the world.

در روز ۲۲ بهمن (سالگرد شروع جمهوری اسلامی) مردم در اقصی نقاط دنیا برای حمایت از اعتراضات مردم ایران به انتخابات ریاست جمهوری سال ۱۳۸۸ گردهمایی تشکیل دادند. در آستین، تگزاس صدو پنجاه نفر در گردهمایی شرکت کرده و به خشونتی که در ایران علیه مردم به کار می رود، اعتراض کردند.
مردم اقصی نقاط دنیا در راستای روز دانشجو گردهم جمع شدند تا حمایت خود از دانشجویان ایرانی، مخصوصا آنها که در زندان به سر می برند، نشان دهند. عده ای از مردم در لس آنجلس، در کنار ساختمان فدرال، تجمع کرده و حمایت خود از ایرانیان را نشان دادند.

In celebration of International Human Rights Day, on December 12, 2009 United4Iran facilitated 'Arts United 4 Iran', a day devoted to worldwide displays of musical, visual, and performing arts highlighting the issues of human rights in Iran. In San Francisco, men and women lined up to stand in front of a green backdrop to have their pictures taken in support of Majid Tavakoli. At a Literary Reading, sculptor Paula Slater unveiled a newly bronzed bust statue of Sohrab, aptly named “Freedom Warrior,” in addition to showcasing a previously made sculpture: a bronze bust of Neda titled “Angel of Freedom”. Later in the evening performances from a varied group, including from both Kurdish and Baha’i performers, followed the literary reading.
In honor of the Iranians who were killed during a peaceful rally on December 27, 2009 (Ashura) people around the world held candlelight vigils, also expressing their solidarity with Iranians struggling for freedom in Iran.
