A chain-link fence, lined by a tarp, stretches across the foreground on an upward angle from left to right. Beyond it, the airport's grounds sprawl into the distance. A few fenced-in gates stand in the near distance along the left edge. To the right of the gates, a luggage cart sits on the tarmac. Behind the cart, a mobile staircase stands. At right, the left wing and fuselage of a plane enters frame and faces away from camera. A few workers stand beneath it. In the distance at center, Will Witherby and others stand at the base of aircraft steps leading up to their plane. The equipment and planes are embellished with the Trans World Airlines logo, "TWA." The airport's runways are barely visible in the far distance. Wide, opaque bands of white originate in the lower left and lower right corners and extend upwards along their respective edges.
