Description:: Photograph of a beach cottage on Mildred Avenue in Venice, as viewed at an angle. The brick-paved Mildred Avenue passes across the foreground on an upward angle from left to right. On the opposite side of the street, a cottage stands, off-center to the right. The two-story cottage is viewed at an angle from the front and the left side; it faces right. Its ground-floor juts out from the building. A porch stands on the right half of the front of the cottage. At left, a picture window spans the remaining front width of the cottage and wraps around the corner. Two windows sit side-by side at center on the front of the second story. A few windows line the ground floor on the left side of the building. A wood, post-and-beam fence extends from the left side of the cottage and lines the sidewalk. Text on the fencing reads, "KEEP OUT." A building and street stand in partial view in the background at left and right, respectively. Opaque, white patches occupy the lower left and lower right corners.

At the far end of the lot, a few cottages stand. The nearest cabin at left stands 2-stories tall and is viewed at an angle from the side; it faces left. A sign posted beside the cottage reads, "NO FREE PARKING." Behind or to the right of it, another cottage stands. It stands one-story tall and appears to face towards the right. Ivy crawls along its near left corner. A cabin stands further back behind and between the 2 near cabins. Other small dwellings are visible along the left edge. Two, larger buildings stand in the background. Opaque, white bands originate from the lower left and lower right corners and stretch upwards along their respective edges.
