Description:
Wells J. Mosher (left) and Charles W. Ostrom stand next to each other in a hallway. To the right of Ostrom is a wall calendar and a locked door. Behind them are a table and a radiator. On the wall behind them are several framed portraits, a sticker (?) portrait, and a sign for a barbecue. Mosher wears a suit, jacket unbuttoned, and had his hands crossed in front of him, holding a light-colored hat. A pencil and a pair of glasses is in his jacket pocket. Ostrom wears a tweed suit, jacket also unbuttoned, and has his hands clasped behind his back.

Description:
Parts of the note she is holding can be read. It states, “…if Miss Bruce were in town. She asked…address and telephone number and also stated she was in….and miss Bruce is in great danger. Miss Hall asked…in regard to a child and she stated ‘Yes, in regard to…’…(referring to SUSIE ANN GILBERT, daughter of Miss Bruce)…Mr. Moore states that Miss Hall was given to believe that this warning of a kidnap attempt of Miss Bruce’s child, SUSIE ANN GILBERT”.

Description:
Three unidentified men are inspecting three cars available for auction in the Public Administrator's storeroom. Part of a fourth car can be seen on the far right. In the background, a wire fence can be seen. Leftmost car is a 1930-1932 Cadillac, with a goddess hood ornament. It is being looked at by a man in a light colored brimmed hat and short sleeved shirt. Middle car is a Pontiac, circa 1933, with a Chief hood ornament. It is being looked at by a man with glasses and a shirt with rolled up sleeves, no hat. Description:
Photograph of a teacher with a student holding a handmade sign that reads in English, “VOTE SCHOOL BONDS MARCH 20”. They are inside the tent that serves as the school’s classroom, which is the reason they are canvasing for school bonds. The Los Angeles Times newspaper reports indicate that school bonds would fund brand new fireproof and earthquake-proof buildings to house Los Angeles schools.

Second letter in Marty Rosen shooting investigation, Los Angeles, 1935

Description:
Letter was written to Larceny Bill. Marty Rosen appeared to be involved in some nefarious people and dealings. He discussed his plans to possibly come back to Brooklyn. In the letter he stated: "Did you find out of he went to his brother? If he did, then fuck him anyway with his brother, because if I am back in ... in another week or so, I'll just have to walk up to his brother's office with my rat-a-tat-tat and mow them all down, you know me bill Im built that way ---- on pencial & paper only-ha !ha!"

Ransom note sent to Perry M. Parker, father of kidnap victim Marion Parker, from William Edward Hickman, Los Angeles, 1927

Description:
Marion Parker was kidnapped for ransom on December 15, 1927 by William Edward Hickman. Two days later, Marion's remains were found by her father, Perry Parker, on the lawn of 432 S. Manhattan Place- just moments after exchanging $1500 for Marion, whom he presumed to be alive. Hickman was ultimately tried and sentenced to death for the crime. He was executed at San Quentin, October 19, 1928.

P. D. Ackerman is sitting behind a desk, applying fingerprint powder with a brush onto one of three guns found on the site of Julia Graham's suicide. Two candlestick phones are on a table next to him. Part of a calendar for July 1935 can be seen on the wall behind him.
