Information card displaying the main building of the Thos D. Murphy Co., Red Oak, [about 1940s]
- Description:
- Printed advertising card displaying a rendering of the main building for the Thos D. Murphy Company in Red Oak Iowa. The top two-thirds of the card show a colored rendering of the front of the building, viewed at a distance. A few cars drive in front of the building. Beneath the illustration, a caption and description read, respectively, "MAIN BUILDING OF THE THOS. D. MURFPHY CO., RED OAK, IOWA," and "RED OAK, IOWA, is known as 'The Birthplace of Art Calendars' because here a business now international in scope was originated back in "the Eighties." This fine modern plant, a block square, with its power plant and up-to-date equipment, is devoted entirely to serving the needs of the advertiser through a combination of art and utility in a practical way."
