McDonald, Everett Shaw, Chloe McDonald, Ann West, Josie Shaw, Mertie West, Hannah Lockwood and Alice Shaw posing around a picnic table in the McDonalds' backyard. The lawn spans the width of the bottom edge and stretches back towards center. A long table sits on the lawn in the near distance at center. A short-end of the table is nearest to camera. The group stands in a semi-circle around the table. They surround the long sides and the distant short-end of the table. The men stand along the left side of the table in a line that stretches back from left to center. Of the men, Hebard West stands leftmost and nearest to camera and here Everett Shaw stands at the far end of the table at left. All face slightly right and look to the camera. Along the right side of the table, the women stand. Alice Shaw stands rightmost and nearest to camera of the women. The women stand in a line that stretches back on an angle towards center. At the end of the line and behind the short-end of the table, Chloe McDonald stands. All the women face slightly left and look to the camera. The inn stands behind them and extends out of frame on both the left and right sides. A sign atop the building's roof reads, "IDYLLWILD INN [left-facing arrow] COFFEE SHOP [down facing arrow] OFFICE [right-facing arrow]." Beneath that, another sign hangs from the eave, it reads, "The SKI SHOP Entrance thru OFFICE [right-facing arrow]."
