Description:: This biography from the Archives of AskART: Born in England on April 9, 1862. Cannon was educated in London and worked there as a designer for gold and silversmiths. He worked in NYC for several years before settling in Los Angeles about 1906. In 1912 he established the Cannon Art School in Los Angeles and taught there until 1933. He died in Redondo Beach, CA on Feb. 5, 1939. Member: Commercial Artists Ass'n of So. Calif.; Free Lance Art League of LA (co-founder and vice pres., 1918).

Description:: Exterior view of the Bradbury mansion, located at the corner of Hill Street and Court Street (now gone, Court St. was located between first St. and W. Temple St.). The photograph was taken the year before the mansion was demolished in 1929. The mansion is an example of Queen Anne style architecture with turrets, scale pattern shingles and carved moldings.
