Description:: SPANISH: Esta grabación en audio, por Juan de Dios Yapita and Denise Y. Arnold, es de varios cantos entonados en quechua y aymara en la fiesta de Navidad, en un festival en la estancia de Livichuco: 1. El Termino (Tukuy qawusaruna), acompañado por una tropa de guitarras grandes. 2. Sarita (Way siway Saritay) que cantan los de la estancia Tarpata, del ayllu Qallapa. 3. Sauce dice (Sawsi sitay) que cantan los de Qallapa ayllu. 4. Padre, diciendo (Way siway, Tatituy). 5. Ayer y hoy, dice sauce (Pusuru mayuru, sawsi situ). Qaqachaka history - the teacher Leocadio Choque Poma tells the story of Villa Belén - 025

Description:: SPANISH: Leocadio Choque Poma graba la historia de Villa Belén y sus necesidades actuales: 1. Villa Belén pertenece a la marka y los ayllus de Qaqachaka. 2. La escuela cuenta con un maestro y sus autoridades o directiva, que incluyen el alcalde escolar, presidente, junta auxiliar y agente auxiliar. El alcalde escolar se encarga de atender las necesidades de la escuelay el agente auxiliar encargado de controlar la siembra (sata). Qaqachaka history - reading of the leaflet "Tata Inti" - 020

Description:: SPANISH: Denise Y. Arnold realiza una grabación de la lectura del folleto titulado "Tata Inti" N°1, Ediciones Chunka, de abril 1991, escrito por Ahutu Qispi Wara. El documento es la historia en larga duración sobre Qaqachaka, desde el periodo de los incas hasta la actualidad. Ella inicia leyendo la parte 2 que trata sobre los incas y la relación con la familia Maraza, como Inca Tata Maraza, y así de la importancia de ellos en la historia de Qaqachaka. También menciona a la familia Chuqi (o Choque) y la distribución de tierras, y la lucha por la tierra durante la Colonia por los Maraza, y su participación en la Guerra del Chaco. Esta lucha por la propiedad de la tierra fecha desde inicios del siglo XX. Ella también menciona la lucha territorial entre Jukumani y Laymi. ENGLISH: Denise Y. Arnold makes a recording of the reading of the pamphlet titled "Tata Inti" N°1, Chunka Editions, from April 1991, written by Ahutu Qispi Wara. The document is the long-term history of Qaqachaka, from the period of the Incas to the present. She starts by reading part 2 which deals with the Incas and the relationship with the Maraza family as Inca Tata Maraza, and so of their importance in the history of Qaqachaka. She also mentions the Chuqi (or Choque) family and the distribution of land, the fight for land during the Colony by the Marazas, and their participation in the Chaco War. This struggle for land ownership is from the beginning of the 20th century. She also mentions the fights between Jukumani and Laymi.

Description:: SPANISH: La grabación realizada por Denise Y. Arnold y Emiliana Hilaya Mendoza en la estancia de Q'uwach'api durante una fiesta contiene una diversidad de temas. Música festiva de cantos populares acompañados por el charango se oye en el fondo: 1. Eusebio Quispe Condori, promotor de educación de la escuela de Q'uwach'api, habla sobre la educación allí de los niños. 2. Hablan los corregidores del lugar (se desconoce sus nombres), quienes también dan sus opiniones sobre las escuelas y la educación de los niños. 3. Habla el promotor de la educación inicial de la escuela seccional de Q'uwach'api (se desconoce su nombre), quien señala las deficiencias que tiene la educación en dicha sección. 4. Luego Encarna Quispe exhorta a la gente de su región para que todos den su opinión sobre las falencias y retrasos en la escuela para que la educación mejore. 5. Arnold and Emiliana Hilaya Mendoza, in the hamlet of Q'uwach'api during a feast, contains a variety of topics. Festive music of popular songs with a charango accompaniment can be heard in the background: 1. Eusebio Quispe Condori, promoter of education at the Q'uwach'api school, talks about the education of children. 2. The corregidores (whose names are unknown) also give their opinions on these schools and the education of their children. 3. The promoter of primary education in the Q'uwach'api sectional school (whose name is unknown) points out the deficiencies of education there. 4. Menciona que antiguamente los milagros de los santos locales estaban divididos en dos; uno era para los hombres (chacha) y el otro para las mujeres (warmi). Los santos locales que hacian milagros para los hombres eran: 1. Yanakachi. 2. Guadalupe. 3. Turu Qari, y 4. Panakachi. Los santos lcoales que hacian milagros para las mujeres eran: 1. Mama Killakas. 2. Mamita Pituna. 3. Mamita Kapitana. 4. Wila Q'asa, y 5. Wila Q'awa. También relata que aparecieron otros santos locales que hacían milagros.
