Tall grasses line the bottom edge of the image and patches of snow cover the hillside and surrounding mountains. In the near distance, a creek winds and flows through a canyon. It enters frame along the lower right edge and winds through the center of the image, disappearing into the distance. At right, a steep mountainside, covered in patches of snow, rises from the creek and extends out-of-frame. A snow-covered mountains stands in the far distance at left.
