Gay Community Services Center hosts open house.

- Stan Chambers reports from the Gay Community Services Center, where an open house is underway to celebrate the center's opening. Executive Director of the center, Steve Schulte, discusses the center's role as a human services agency where they have a clinic and 13 programs to assist members of the gay community with issues ranging from employment to alcohol abuse. The facility is also meant to serve as a community center for gay men and lesbians in Los Angeles. City Councilman Zev Yaroslovsky pledges the city's commitment to the center and the gay community and notes that resistance to such support still exists but is waning. He also participates in a ribbon cutting. Clip includes footage of the exterior and people attending the event.
