Description:
Photograph of Edward Steinberg cooking up a piece of fish at the group's campsite. He stands center, in profile and facing left. To his left, a small portable stove with a stove pipe sits balanced atop rocks. His upper body is bent over the stove. His left arm is bent with the back of his hand resting on his hip. With this right hand, he holds a (fork?) to lift a fish from the pan sitting atop the stove. To the left of him, pans and buckets sit on rocks and shelves. In the background at right, a tented dining area is set up. A car is parked on the far right and a large piece of canvas stretches over the car towards Edward. The tent is additionally supported by ropes and long sticks functioning as posts. Beneath the tent and in front of the car, a man sips from a cup while sitting at a table. Plates and cups sit on the table. A small shelf stands at the end of the table and holds boxes and cans. A bench is visible in front of the table.

Frances and Elizabeth stand at center and to the right of the back end of a vehicle. Frances stands closest to the car and looks down at something in her hands. Elizabeth stands to the right of Frances. She wears a bonnet and holds a fishing rod. Her other hand rests on her hip. A pot sits on the ground in front of her. The girls stand behind about 15 fish hanging from string. The string is attached to the car at left, is supported by a stick at center and continues out of the photograph at right. In the center, about fifteen total trout hang from the string. A stick standing left-of-center supports the string of trout. The string is attached to a parked car near the rear tire. Frances West, Elizabeth West and Ted McClellan stand in line extending back from behind the stick. The girls wear similar printed dresses with bonnets and all three face the general direction of H. H. A car that faces left is parked behind and to the left of them. A mountain rises in the background at left.
