The clubhouse was designed by noted Los Angeles architect Robert H. Orr, and was built by Azusa contractor Charles Mace. The building is located at 1003 N. Azusa Avenue. Orr designed many structures in the Los Angeles area including the iconic Wilshire Christian Church, and he was the supervising architect for Pomona College. Orr began his career as a draftsman for the architect William H. Weeks in Salinas in 1898 and was active as an architect in the Los Angeles area by 1908. Orr founded the firm Orr, Strange, Inslee & Senefeld in 1949 and he worked with this firm up to 1962, two years before his death.
