In celebration of International Human Rights Day, on December 12, 2009 United4Iran facilitated 'Arts United 4 Iran', a day devoted to worldwide displays of musical, visual, and performing arts highlighting the issues of human rights in Iran. A group of activists in Bayern (Bavaria) organized an event to commemorate the presidential election of June 2009 in Iran and those who lost their lives in the rallies that followed the elections.

Over a hundred activists in Vancouver gathered the side of Winter Olympics highway, at the same time as the Winter Olympics opening, to show their support for the people of Iran, calling for an end to murder, torture, rape, and executions. The event was hosted by Neda for Freedom, a non-partisan, Vancouver-based human & civil rights organization working to promote basic rights in Iran.

A group of Iranians residing in Washington D.C. gathered to highlight the ongoing crackdown against protesters in Iran. They remembered those killed in February 14th rallies in Iran (Mohammad Mokhtari and Sane Jaleh) and also called for human rights and the end of executions in Iran.
On the day of Ahmadinejad’s address to the United Nations, several activist groups from across the United States and Canada, including Union for Advancement of Secular Democracy in Iran (UASDI) and New York’s Solidarity Committee for Advancement of Democracy in Iran (SCADI), joined in front of UN Plaza during Ahamadinejad’s speech to rally and protest against rights abuses. They also called for release of political prisoners such as Majid Tavakoli. Prominent Iranian singer, Rana Farhan, participated in this event.
