Arnold about the songs to the animals. Before singing (warart'aña) they must drink a cup of alcohol and offer libations as an incentive to gain strength and sing. The songs they perform are: 1. The Song to the Mother Sheep, Mamala paw paw, sung by doña Asunta and Flora, and 2. The Song to the Female Llama (Piñama), called Mamalay (Mother), sung by doña María. Her husband, don Alberto Choque Mamanillo, can be heard in the background, inspiring her to continue.
