To celebrate Judge Lowe's 76th birthday he was given a mock trial that found him guilty in open court of "the unusual offense of seventy-six years of useful and worth while living, as charged by his fellow citizens." The trial was attended by a large number of attorneys, city officials and business men. His sentence was "incarceration in the grateful hearts of his fellow-citizens."
