Illustrated pages from the story, "Ogwalla Springs," by Adelbert Bartlett and Mrs. Williams, possibly drawn by Mrs. Williams (no full name or initials on illustration). Illustration carries across both pages. Page at right depicts the name "Oqwalla" written above a sun, rendered with a human face that winks at the viewer, its rays shining over a man resting on his back, wearing a cowboy hat and pair of patterned shorts, and smoking a pipe. Drawn in the left-hand corner is a woman reading a book. Only her head and hands are visible. To the right, a man sits under a palm tree with his hat pulled down over his eyes. An animal skull rests near him. Beyond them sits the town of Ogwalla with built structures, two tipis, and fences depicted. The number "5" is circled at the bottom of the page, likely indicating page number.
