Text from newspaper caption: Here is the Southern County Bank at Main and El Monte streets in El Monte where two bandits were slain and one captured as they attempted bank robbery yesterday with the county’s best pistol marksmen meeting near-by. A girl reporter summoned the officers, two of whom were slightly wounded in a quick gun battle.
