- Description

More than 16,000 adult men and women in Los Angeles are taking adult classes on everything from landscaping, interior decorating, cooking, sketching, knitting, and learning a second language.
The backs of several students' heads are seen as they look forward at the blackboard where fellow students Warner Antonson and Jerri Lee work on problems. Mrs. Dean writes on the board with chalk while Ms. Cunningham stands near reading from a book.
Negative sleeve correction: Berendo Night High School was where the photographs were taken
Related photographs appear with the article, "Whole Families Enroll in City Night Schools," Los Angeles Times, 07 Feb 1936: A1.
