According to the American Film Institute (AFI) catalog, production of Salome spanned June to August of 1952. The film was released March of 1953.
Drawing depicts two camels and two caravan drivers wearing Biblical-era clothing. Text at bottom left reads: "Caravan Drivers, Israel." The drawing is signed by Millard Sheets at bottom right. Sheets, an American painter, served as technical consultant on Salome.
