Barbara Hunter, also known as Barbara Hunter Dietz, is shown in a room with jail bars to her left. She wears a floppy hat and a herringbone overcoat over a plaid dress. She carries a handkerchief in her right hand and a clutch purse is looped over a left finger while holding her hat with her left hand. Bandages can be seen on her left wrist. She is smiling and looking down and away from the camera.
Barbara Hunter was married to the cameraman William Dietz. She was once a secretary for Thomas Edison, and later was a screenwriter and a film editor. She was one of the first 100 women in the US to get a flying license. She attempted suicide in October 1939.
