Photograph of T. W. West's gravestone standing in the churchyard at Christ Church in Alexandria. The gravestone rises from the churchyard in the foreground at center. Its inscribed epitaph reads, "To the Memory of T.W. We∫t who Departed this Life July 28th 1799 Aged 54 Years." The flat churchyard stretches across the image and extends behind West's gravestone. In the left section of the yard, several gravestones stand. Trees dot the yard and a hedge lines the yard's perimeter along its left and back edges. Beyond the hedge, a house stands in the distance at right.
