Photograph of a boulder marking the site of the old belfry in Lexington Common, as viewed close-up. The boulder sits in the foreground at center. A bronze tablet is affixed to the top of the boulder. It faces slightly left. The tablet contains a relief image of the old belfry and text. The text reads, "THE SITE OF THE OLD BELFRY FROM WHICH THE ALARM WAS RUNG APRIL 19 1775 This Tablet was erected by the LEXINGTON CHAPTER Daughters of the American Revolution 1910." In the near distance at left, a flagpole rises, extending beyond the top edge. The grassy expanse of the Common stretches behind the boulder and into the distance. Trees line the right edge of the park at center. Beyond the common, houses stand across the background, partially obscured by trees.
