According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white.
An out-of-focus photograph of the eastern face of the Tomb of the Unknown Solider, as viewed close-up, in Arlington National Cemetery. Stone steps line the bottom edge as they extend upwards towards the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier sits at center and is seen close-up from a low-angle view. Metal posts and chains encircle the marble memorial. Three allegorical figures are carved in relief on the east face of the structure. Pilasters frame the left and right edges. Beyond the tomb, the eastern facade of the Arlington Memorial Amphitheater stands at a higher elevation in the background. Its columned portico is obscured by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The theater's rounded colonnades are just visible extending from the sides of the building. Four punched holes line the top edge at left.
