Photograph of the Whirlpool Rapids section of the Niagara River flowing through a gorge. The Niagara River almost spans the width of the image along the bottom edge. It is viewed looking downstream. Patches of white indicate the rapids of the Whirlpool Rapids at right. The Niagara River flows on a curve and into the distance at center. On the left bank, a footbridge extends alongside the river. It enters frame from the lower left corner and stretches into the distance on a slight angle. Cliff walls line the right bank of the river in the background.
