An out-of-focus photograph of Mertie West strolling across the grounds of Lexington Common and towards a monument. The grassy expanse of the park stretches across the foreground and into the distance, angling slightly to the left. Trees line the right edge of the park. Mertie West is barely visible in the distance at right, walking away from camera and towards a large boulder. The boulder sits ahead and to the left of her. Beyond the common, houses stand in the background at right, partially obscured by trees. Four punched holes line the top edge at left.
According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white.
