Notes
- Description
- Photograph of Mertie West standing at a rail and looking out towards the American Falls in Niagara Falls. Mertie West stands in partial view in the foreground. She stands, right-of-center, with her back to the camera. The bottoms of her feet and the top of her head extend beyond the top and bottom frames, respectively. Just ahead of her, a guardrail, lined with mesh fencing curves outward as it lines the edge of the viewing area. Bridal Veil Falls is barely visible flowing in the near distance, below the view point, at center. Beyond it, another view point enters frame at right and extends towards center. Farther back, the Niagara River cascades over the American Falls. The Niagara River continues to flow at the bottom of the falls and along the left edge. It passes beneath Rainbow Bridge in the background at left.
