According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white.
Photograph of Mertie West standing on a terrace above the swimming pool at Chateau Lake Louise in Banff National Park. The stone-paved terrace extends on a curving, upward angle from left to right through the foreground. Mertie West stands at center, along the terrace's edge. She faces towards the left. Alongside the terrace's edge and behind Merite, a large bed of poppies grow on a downward slope. At the base of the slope and behind Merite, the Chateau Lake Louise's swimming pool sits in partial view at left. It is viewed at an angle and from an elevated perspective. A wall encircles the pool area. Large, arched windows are visible lining the near wall and the left wall. Beyond the pool and to the left of Mertie, a building stands. Pines and snow cover mountains that rise in the background. Five punched holes line the right edge.
