The train car is viewed close-up, from the exterior, and at an angle from the side. The side of the car stretches back on an angle across the image from left to right as it sits on the tracks. It extends beyond the frame at left and right. Mertie West sits behind the third window from the left and looks to the camera. Above the windows, it reads, "[P]ULLMAN," and below the windows it reads, "LAKE SHERIDAN."
