- Description
- Photograph of Mertie West sitting beside a picture window at Chateau Lake Louise and looking out at the landscape. In the foreground, Mertie West sits in a chair at right. She sits in profile, facing left, but looks through the picture window behind her. A small table stands along the lower left edge and curtains hang down beside the window, along the right edge. The picture window spans the width of the image and extends beyond the top frame. A view of the adjacent landscape is framed by the window. The landscaped grounds of the hotel lie beyond the window, lining its bottom edge. Further back, Lake Louise stretches across the image. At the far end of the lake, mountains rise to the right and left. Victoria Glacier sits above Lake Louise at center.
