Photograph of Mertie West standing near the water's edge at Lake Louise in Banff National Park. The photograph appears to tilt downward to the right. Grasses stretch across the foreground, lining the edge of Lake Louise. Mertie West stands in the near distance, left-of-center. She stands with her back to the camera and looks towards the lake in the distance. Beyond Mertie, Lake Louise stretches across the foreground. Tall mountains rise from distant banks at left and right. Beyond and between the mountains, a snow-covered Victoria Glacier is visible in the distance at center. Four punched holes line the bottom edge at right.
