Photograph of Mertie West posing beside the water's edge at Moraine Lake in the Valley of Ten Peaks in Banff National Park. Mertie West stands in the near distance, just right-of-center. She looks to the camera. Behind her at right, a small pine tree stands. Moraine Lake extends from the left and back towards center. A few of the Ten Peaks rise from the opposite bank of Moraine Lake. The snow-covered peaks stretch across the background and recede into the distance at right. Four punched holes line the upper right edge.
