- Description
- Photograph, from left to right, of Wes Witherby, Dode (Sarah Josephine) Witherby, Zetta Witherby and Mertie West boarding the Death Valley Railroad's narrow gauge train at its terminus at Ryan, California. A car is parked along the left edge in the foreground. It faces towards the camera and extends beyond the frame at left. Its license plate reads, "19 CALIFORNIA 47 70 V 908." At right, the passenger cars of the narrow gauge train sit on the train tracks. It enters frame at right and stretches back towards the left. Benches line the passenger cars.
