Photograph, from left to right, of H. H. West and Mertie West posing in front of the Bahá’í Temple in Wilmette, Illinois. They stand at center and look to the camera. Behind them, chain link fencing stretches across the image. On the far side of the fence and directly behind H. H., a message board stands. It reads, "BAHA'I HOUSE OF WORSHIP OPEN SUNDAY TOURS FROM 10:30 AM TO 5:00 [PM] PUBLIC L[ECTURE] SUNDAY 3:30 TO 4[:30] SPEAKER MARGOT MC NAM[ERA JOHNSON] VISITORS [WELCOME]." Further back, the Bahá’í Temple rises, extending beyond the top frame. The 9-sided building stands off-center to the right. Three tiers stack atop one another, narrowing as the building extends upwards. The third, domed, tier stretches beyond the frame.
