According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white.
A poorly lit or developed photograph of Mertie West admiring the the flower gardens of Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia. Mertie West stands on a walkway, left-of-center. She faces to the right towards a bed of flowers growing along the right edge of the walkway. Her face is obscured by shadow. The walkway she stands upon stretches back on an angle from left to center and then turns towards the left and out-of-frame. The flowers or flowering shrubbery lines the rightmost edge of the walkway and stretches back into the distance. Trees stand in the background. Several punch holes line both the top and bottom edges.
