Photograph of Mertie West standing in front of Frances Wells' apartment in Anchorage, Alaska. The front of a house stands in the near distance, off-center to the left. It is viewed from the front at angle. Its lawn stretches in front and to the right of it. Two porthole windows sit to either side of the front door and a shuttered window sits directly above it. An attachment juts back from the right side of the house in the distance. Treed landscaping lines the walkway that spans the front of the house. Mertie West stands in the distance, right-of-center, on the walkway and in front of a pine. She looks to the camera. A neighboring house is visible in the background at right. A bright, white smudge hovers in front of the rightmost, second-floor window of the house. Several punch holes line both the top and bottom edges.
According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white.
