According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white.
Photograph of Mertie West standing in front of some totem poles at Saxman Totem Park. Mertie West stands at center and looks to the left as she rests her hands in her coat pocket. She stands on a gravel drive the extends on an upward angle from right to left. Behind and to the right of Mertie, a short and wide totem figure stands. It is viewed from the back; its carvings do not face camera. Further behind Mertie at left, another short totem stands. It faces both the camera and the totem at right. The totem appears to be a carved bird figure. Behind it, a taller totem pole rises and extends beyond the top frame. Mountains stand in the far distance. Four punch holes run along the right frame.
