Notes
- Description
- Photograph of Mertie West posing next to a sign for Igloo Creek, which flows in the background, at Denali National Park and Preserve. Mertie West stands in the foreground at left. She places her hands in her coat pockets as she looks to the camera. To the right of her and down a small slope stands a sign for Igloo Creek. It is surrounded by tall grasses that grow across the width of the image. Beyond the sign, a few wood posts stand in a row. Behind the posts, Igloo Creek flows in the near distance. A curve in the creek juts out towards the left, behind and to the right of Mertie. The creek flows both into and out of the image at right. Trees line the bank in the far distance and mountains are visible rising in the background.
