- Photograph of Alice Shaw and 2 unidentified women washing dishes in the rear yard of William H. Shaw's home in the El Sereno neighborhood of Los Angeles. Two women stand in the foreground and are turned away from camera. One stands in partial view along the right edge with her back to the camera. The other woman stands at left, also in partial view along the edge, in profile, facing right, and looking back towards center. She holds a dish in a small tub in front of her. Between the 2 women, a table sits in the middle of the yard. Dishes and a washing tub sit atop it. Beyond the table, Alice Shaw stands at center in the middle of the yard. She faces towards the camera, but looks down to as she dries a large salad bowl. Behind her and to the right, William H. Shaw's house stands in partial view.
