- View of oil derricks and sheds alongside cottages probably at the Venice oil field with the beach just visible in the right foreground. Three men are on the front porch of a shed at the base of the central derrick. Steam plumes from a pipe across the scene. A sign on the central derrick reads "Pacific Shore Oil Co. LTD., D. M. Divani & D. Tomlinson."
