Photograph of the residence of John W. Prior on North Sichel Street as viewed from the front. North Sichel Street stretches across the foreground. The Victorian-style home of John W. Prior stands on the opposite side of the street at center. It is viewed from the front. Bay windows and a gable stand along the left side of the front of the house. A door sits recessed behind a small porch on the right. Tall palm trees surround the house.

Text from negative sleeve: 1973. Los Angeles, California. Sichel Street. Taken May 25, 1941. 1. The home of Frank E. Prior, at the corner of Sichel Street and Avenue 26. Prior was Assistant Superintendent of the Southern Pacific Railroad from 1894 to about 1904 when he was promoted to be Superintendent of the S.P.R.R. at Sacramento, California. He had a nervous breakdown up there and returned to Los Angeles to recover, which took some time. He then went into the hay and grain business, and later ran a big barber shop on Spring street, Los Angeles. His wife was active in women's clubs. His son still lives in the old home. (1941) 1 film.
