H. H. West sits on his sister's bed holding a doll. There is a table next to the bed, which has a bowl, a lamp, a box, and other objects on it. There is a bedpan under the bed. There is a stool at the left and a small rug next to that. There are photographs on the wall. West wears a nightgown. Pants with suspenders attached are draped over the end of the bed.

Text from negative sleeve: 1819. Los Angeles, California. 240 South Griffin Ave. About 1900. ["H. H. West's bed room" crossed out.] 1. 2.3. I had some one come up to the room and take three pictures of me, as if at night, taking care of a baby. Can't tell why this was done now, or who for - if any one. Just some foolishness I guess. Looks like these were taken in Nella A. West's room. Not mine. 3 films.
