- H. H. West cradles a doll in his sister's bedroom. He wears a nightgown. There is a rocking chair behind him with clothes piled on it. There are photographs on the walls and a window at West's left covered by a shade. There is a table at the right with a bowl, a lamp, a box, and other objects on it and a small stool next to it. The end of the bed is visible at the right with a pair of pants draped on it. There is a rug next to the bed.
