- H. H. West's brother, Wilson and their father, George M. West, sit at the table in the library of the West's house at 240 South Griffin Avenue. Wilson has his arm on the table and appears to be writing. Mr. West reads a book and smokes a pipe. There are papers, books, and a lamp on the table. There is a fireplace in the background, as well as a bookcase with pictures propped up on top. There is a window at the right with the shade drawn.
